About the film
Mr. West, an American businessman, travels to Moscow convinced by his newspapers that the Bolsheviks are barbarians. He brings his cowboy bodyguard, Jeddy.
A gang of con men led by a sly adventurer plays on his fears, 'kidnaps' him and squeezes him for money, until the real Soviet police set things straight.
A fast, funny silent satire full of stunts, from the workshop of Lev Kuleshov, one of the founders of film editing theory.
