About the film

The Banks children have driven away every nanny. Then Mary Poppins appears out of nowhere, beautiful, strict and full of wonders, and life at Cherry Tree Lane becomes an adventure.

Told in a gentler, more grown-up way than the Disney film, this version is also about the adults: Mr Banks, who has forgotten how to dream, and the 'perfect' nanny who has to leave.

It is famous for its songs by Maxim Dunaevsky, still sung in Russia today.
