About the film
Sanya lives in a children's home in the Russian far north. His father drowned in the White Sea, and Sanya cannot accept it.
Driven by a child's stubborn sense of justice, he gets to a small island, where he meets a lonely old hermit, the police come looking, and the boy has to face the sea itself.
A quiet modern drama with beautiful northern landscapes.
